“You might not believe in love but you’ll still have to love.”
“I know everything is unreal and that is why I needn’t prove it.”
The first private gallery in Sofia – ART 36 – and Angela Minkova are organising an exhibition entitled “Enough with Love” under the patronage of Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of Volcanoes.
The exhibition shall be opened at 19:00, on 9th August, 2006, at the ART 36 Gallery at 40, Slavyanska str.
The exhibition is dedicated to a Goddess Pele’s chosen ones, E.G., whom the Goddess has now sent on a mission in the far away Canadian province of Quebec. This province is famous for its numerous, non-existent even today, volcanoes.
To be the main performer of the works shown the Goddess has chosen artist Angela MiInkova who is famous for always looking for various irreconcilabilities. The language of her art is not the language of her passions; but this is exactly where the paradox of some of her works of most powerful impact, often masked as autobiographical, lies.
The paintings exhibited at the gallery have been provoked by the artist’s visits in an area of the Goddess’ active volcano as well as by the exchange between them of gifts and contracts.
The creation of the paintings took a short time in Bulgaria, in the conditions of constant repair works characteristic of the country.
